Domestic Violence in the South Asian Community

The South Brunswick Commission on Women invites you to a community conversation with Manavi on domestic violence awareness, resources, and support for the South Asian community

Founded in 1985, Manavi is the first organization in the United States dedicated to ending all forms of violence against South Asian survivors. Using a survivor-centered approach, Manavi provides culturally specific and linguistically appropriate services to South Asian survivors of violence. Manavi’s staff and volunteers are bilingual—speaking over 14 different South Asian languages. Website: manavi.org. The speaker will be Ritu Shrivastava, Housing Navigator and Outreach Coordinator at Manavi. Ritu supports survivors with housing resources, community connections, and access to services that promote safety and stability.
