Zoom Basics

Learn the basics of Zoom and Google Meet!

This program is designed to help anyone become comfortable using Zoom, a video conferencing platform that allows them to connect with friends, family, and communities from the comfort of their own home. Over the course of the class, participants will learn how to:

• Set Up a Zoom Account: Step-by-step guidance on creating a free Zoom account.
• Join a Meeting: Instructions on how to join a Zoom meeting using a link or meeting ID.
• Understand the Interface: A walkthrough of the Zoom interface, including buttons for video, audio, chat, and screen sharing.
• Host a Meeting: Learn how to set up and host their own meetings, including inviting others and managing participants.
• Troubleshoot Common Issues: Guidance on how to solve common technical problems like audio/video issues or connection problems.
• Practice Session: Time to practice all skills with the instructor's assistance.

By the end of this class, participants will have gained confidence in using Zoom to stay connected with loved ones, attend virtual events, and participate in online activities.
