On June 26th, 1778 George Washington and his troops passed through South Brunswick on their way to the Battle of Monmouth. They encamped overnight at Longbridge Farm in Monmouth Junction.

Join us in person at the library or via Zoom as we discuss Washington's overnight stay in South Brunswick on his way to the Battle of Monmouth.  245 years ago, George Washington and his troops were encamped in what is Monmouth Junction today.  They passed through Dayton on their way to the Battle of Monmouth which was the biggest and longest one day battle of the war.
