Attorney Tina James will be sharing her expertise on laws protecting children with disabilities in their education and in case of an inheritance. This presentation covers special needs planning, including the importance of estate planning, options for selecting trustees, ways to fund a special needs trust, knowing when a guardianship may be appropriate, and an overview of government benefits like social security, Medicaid, other entitlements.
Tina is an experienced advocate, planner, and litigator. She has successfully argued before state and federal courts. In addition, she served as a judicial law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Among others topics, her practice focuses on planning for individuals with disabilities and their families. She is committed to promoting all aspects of diversity and inclusion.
