Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has changed the way people do business in finance, manufacturing, and entertainment, as well as helping people write, make art, and even come up with recipes and edit family photos. However, this does not come without risks including hallucinations, deep fakes and problematic biases. Feel free to bring your computer to work along the second part of the class.

In this workshop we will discuss

The basics of Artificial Intelligence
What is Generative AI
Benefits and uses of Generative AI
How Generative AI and LLMs work
Concerns, controversies, and avoiding pitfalls
Types of Generative AI
Using Generative AI
Along with discussing these topics, we will also use ChatGPT, Perplexity.ai, and Bing Image Creator to explore how AI can  help us in our every day lives.
