He will discuss the blocking out of stressful triggers, finding peace by living in the current moment and all this is possible by incorporating a simple time tested meditation technique. There will even be a short meditation sitting. This can help us achieve a lasting state of peace and happiness found through no outer experience.
William Smith, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel engineer, has a master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of South Carolina. As an Army officer, he pioneered this new technology within the Department of Defense. William is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and has held many leadership positions during his successful 20-year military career.
William has always been passionate about meditation which he has incorporated in his life for over 50 years. Since retiring he has spent a lot of time volunteering as a summer camp director for 22 years; teaching children how to meditate and inspiring them to incorporate ethical living into one’s life.
He has taught numerous classes on this important topic to a variety of audiences. William enjoys traveling and giving talks on meditation in the US and internationally.
